Bangladesh is set to tour Pakistan for a three-match T20I series starting on Wednesday, May 28. The series was originally scheduled to begin on May 25. However, it was pushed back a little due to the 10th edition final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season on the same day. It is also to be noted that the Bangladesh tour of Pakistan was also about to get canceled due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.
However, with a ceasefire announced, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) decided to send its team to Pakistan for the T20 series. This series gives a golden chance to both Pakistan & Bangladesh to prepare team for the next year's T20 World Cup 2026. Both these teams have fallen way apart when it comes to T20Is. With top teams like India, South Africa, and Australia playing aggressively from the outset, Pakistan and Bangladesh need to find a way to crack the template for T20Is.

Significance of PAK vs BAN T20I series
These three T20Is will give the two Asian sides to look at players who are exclusively fit to play the shortest format. Teams like India and South Africa have a bunch of dedicated T20 players who only play one format and various leagues across the globe. Pakistan and Bangladesh don't have such liberty. Hence, they need to back players who will adapt to T20I quickly.
