The Australia vs South Africa series continues with the ODI series. The second ODI will be played on August 22 in Mackay, with the visitors leading the series 1-0 after their massive win in the first ODI.
South Africa won the match by 98 runs after posting a mammoth total on the board. Australia were bowled out for just 198 runs in the match in what was a batting collapse for the Aussies. Four of their top-seven batters were dismissed for single-digit scores, with Alex Carey bagging a duck.
Australia will be led by Mitchell Marsh, while South Africa will be led by Temba Bavuma. Kagiso Rabada was ruled out of the ODI series with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, South African off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen, who made his ODI debut in the first ODI, was reported with a suspect bowling action. South Africa have an advantage of a big win in the first ODI.

This is the first ODI to be played at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. The venue has previously hosted two T20Is. However, this will be the very first ODI match at the venue and hence a new wicket is expected to be dished out.
