GT vs MI Match Preview & Where to Watch Live? IPL 2025 Eliminator

Gujarat Titans (GT) face off against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator clash of IPL 2025 in Mullanpur on Friday, May 30. The match starts at 7.30 PM IST. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) reached the final by beating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1 on Thursday, May 29.

There is no looking back for either of the teams that loses this Eliminator clash. The winner of this game will face off against Punjab Kings for a place in the final on June 3.

The Titans on the back of two losses in their final three league games, finished third on the IPL 2025 points after staying in the top two for the majority of the season. MI, on the other hand, finished fourth after winning the decisive clash against Delhi Capitals.

GT vs MI IPL 2025 Eliminator - Match Preview

GT won their previous match against MI earlier in the season by the DLS method. The opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan have scored over 900 runs in the season between themselves. They have been one of the stronger suits for their team. With Rashid Khan not having an ideal season, the likes of Prasidh Krishna, Sai Kishore have shared 40 wickets between themselves. They also have Kagiso Rabada in their ranks. All in all, GT will need to fall back on their consistent performers to win this Eliminator and take them to their second IPL final.

Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL champions, knows what it takes to win big games. Suryakumar Yadav, with 640 runs in the season so far, has been their go-to man with the bat. They have a good ensemble cast, with the rest of the players also chipping in time to time. In Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner, MI have a good bowling core with Santner stepping up for MI in the last few games. Bumrah and Boult have shared 29 wickets between themselves.

MI are peaking at the right time despite losing two of their final three league games. GT also have lost two of their final three league games. However, when it comes to crunch games, MI have a far more experienced unit compared to GT, which might make the difference eventually in the result.
