Catches win matches is an age-old saying that always rings true in cricket, be it in any format of the game. Indian fielders forgot the saying it seems, during the ongoing first Test match against England in Leeds. On Day three of the first Test, Indian fielders were guilty of dropping as many as six catches. Some were absolute sitters, which at this level, dropping is considered a sin. A lot it is being written about the visitors fielding efforts, but premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah does not want to put more pressure on the Shubman Gill & Co.

The visitors' fielders' horrible display, resulted in England trailing by just six runs in reply to the visitors' first innings total of 471 runs. As many four catches were dropped of Bumrah's bowling, which left him extremely frustrated.

"I am disappointed for a second when catches are dropped. It's part and parcel of the game, and the guys are new and working so hard. I don't want to create a scene and put more pressure on them. Nobody is doing it intentionally. So they will learn from this experience," Bumrah said at the press conference at the end of the day's play.
