Rajasthan Royals (RR) latest star Vaibhav Suryavanshi received a super and grand welcome as the southpaw returned to his ancestral village of Tajpur in Bihar's Samastipur district. The RR opener set social media ablaze with the Indian Premier League (IPL) second-fastest ton off just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans (GT), was greeted to garlands and huge cheers. Even a celebratory cake-cutting was also organized by family members and local people.

The cake had a special message decorated with the words "Welcome Back to Home," which demonstrated the pride and joy of the whole village. Suryavanshi, once a shy boy from the humble beginnings of Bihar, has now become a national treasure. Almost all the villagers celebrated the RR opener's success.

Not only that knock, but the southpaw also showed great composure when he scored a mature 50 against CSK to guide RR home in a tricky run chase.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi selected in the India Under-19 squad for England tour

The RR opener's heroics in IPL 2025 season has earned him a spot in the India's Under-19 squad for the upcoming England tour. Suryavanshi also spoke to RR head coach Rahul Dravid about keeping the basics right and play accordingly to what the team needs.

"I have been preparing for 3–4 years. And I saw the results too. Whatever was missing, I was able to work on it. All the things that once looked tough, became easy. I have realized that it's important to stay focused. There's no such thing as natural game. You only have to play according to what the team needs. And not try to do too many extra things at this level. I have to stay in my strong zone and make the team win," Vaibhav said in a candid chat with head coach Rahul Dravid.
